OsteoNET, the European project in which the Hypatia Research Consortium participates, will be the protagonist of Primavera dell’Innovazione, with a programme full of round tables and an exhibition of scientific posters.

The main objective of the project is to promote collaboration between experts from technical and scientific disciplines in the field of bone tissue engineering, leading to the development of reliable and sustainable in vitro 3D cell models that reproduce the physiopathological conditions of the tissue. In addition, the project aims to train a cohort of scientists and technologists in how to exploit the features of these models to further our understanding of the effects of ageing on bone biology and mechanobiology, as well as the response of bone to drugs.

These 3D cell models could be used in the future as an alternative to the animal model, both in clinical settings and in basic/industrial research laboratories.
